The two men stood breathless. To them the most likely explanation was another of white man's inventions.

It was not until years later when Billy and Jimmy were scouring a local military dump for reading material. There they found a copy of the “Argosy” Magazine. This is the first place that they learned that UFOs such as the one they saw could be from outer space. This fact goes against the contention by some skeptics that UFO reports are caused by illusions or fantasies generated by movies and other media.

During the interview in his home in Beaver Creek, Billy was asked to describe the object’s size and its distance. Peering out his window he pointed at a house that was measured to be about 200 metres away. The UFO was about the same size and distance away as this single family dwelling.

Billy Blair passed away in August of 2002, about two years after he was interviewed and about 16 months after he appeared on the Jeff Rense Radio show where he described this incident and others.  We are very grateful that he shared his account with us. Billy had another equally dramatic encounter later on in his life. We hope to bring this to you in our next issue.
