Dear Sirs:

Enclosed please find my completed application form and money-order in the amount of $4.00 which covers membership for one year in your organization.

My husband, Charles S. Say - Bank Manager, my mother, Mrs. S. Lavigne, housewife and myself did spot a UFO during the summer of 1967. The object was larger than a star although the same colour and brightness. The object was stationary for a period, then hovered up and towards our left then suddenly excelled [accelerated?] at a terrific speed leaving a trail of sparks.

At the time of the sighting we were at a drive-in theater, and would be facing southwest of Vancouver, B.C. Due to the length of time since the sighting we are not sure of the exact time or date but the length of the viewing would be about 1 or 2 minutes.

A few months later, again at a drive-in theater, my husband and I did spot another object in the sky. Although it did look like a star (not as big as our original sighting) it sort of wavered like a balloon in the wind then began to burn out. A few days later it was mentioned on the radio that someone had been using plastic bags with lighted candles in them hoping to have people believe that this was a UFO.

I mention this 2nd experience to let you know that there was quite a difference in the sightings, leaving us to believe that our first sighting was definitely a UFO whereas the 2nd was a hoax.

Looking forward to receiving your first bulletin and hoping I can be of some usefulness in the organization.

Yours truly,
Mrs. Sally S. Say
