DEAR EDITORS,
For several years I have
taken a serious outlook towards aerial
phenomena. At first I was quite skeptical,
but after studying hundreds of individual
cases from all over the world I have come to
the logical conclusion that Unidentified
Flying Objects, commonly known as Flying
Saucers are of extraterrestrial origin. I
would like to say that A.P.R.O. has done a
magnificent job of seeking out the facts
concerning this unnatural phenomenon. As
well as being complimentary, my letter is
intended to bring to light two sightings
made by a friend of mine of UFOs. A former
Canadian Air Force & Army officer, he is
working hard to become a first class radio
operator. I will refrain from using his name
at the moment as I have not yet asked his
permission. Last month, in late December,
there was a rash of sightings of UFOs at
Nelson, British Columbia where dozens of
people reported seeing cigar-shaped objects
hovering, and speeding across the skies. It
was at this time my friend and his family
were on their way to visit some relatives.
The sky was clear and it was getting dark.
As they drove along my friend noticed an
object in the eastern sky which kept growing
larger as it got closer. He said, “As it got
closer I noticed it was cigar-shaped and
several colours, green, red, blue. It moved
in a westerly direction for about two
minutes, then it shot straight up and away
like an arrow! The official explanation for
these sightings were that they were nothing
but "balloons" sent up by some children.
HOWEVER, only the gullible will accept this
explanation. My friend says that a friend of
his had seen a similar object a few hours
later. It is hard to understand, with so
much evidence at hand, how the existence of
UFOs can be denied. I would like to
congratulate Mr. & Mrs. LORENZEN for
their brave efforts in trying to solve the
UFO mystery. I would appreciate information
about a subscription to the APRO Bulletin.
ALL THE BEST.
YOURS TRULY,
JOHN ROBERT ADAMS.
