Dear
This letter is in regard of UFOs.
I've just finished your book “Flying Saucer
Occupants” and find it very interesting. The
reason I am writing you is that having seen
these saucers myself at McLeese Lake has really
aroused my curiosity and I would really like to
read and learn all I can of them. So would
appreciate it if you could send me this
information or give me information as to where I
could get some. Thank you.
On three occasions I (and others)
have seen these objects. Twice very low and
close; once in the daytime and once at night.
The third time was very high and odd. I will
explain them as briefly as possible as you may
find them interesting.
First I would like to explain
that quite a few of us are interested in the sky
and watched quite regularly on clear nights for
satellite, etc.
The first time we saw one was on
August the 2nd, 1967 at 8:00 PM.
I was in the garden and there
were quite a few teenagers and children on the
lawns. My son (he’s 11 years old) called my
attention to a brilliant object in the sky. It
was very low in the eastern sky traveling from
north to south and it was very close. It
appeared to come off Sheridian Hill which is
about one mile away. It glowed with a very white
light. The shape of it was like this (Oval).
There was absolutely no sound and it traveled a
straight course not too fast. It was quite a
size.
The second time was August 26,
1967 at 10:00 PM.
I happened to be out on the front
porch (which faces South and there are a few
trees in front of the house across the Sub Road
between the highway. There is also a low hill
behind the lake in the horizon.) and just below
the tree tops I saw a big red light moving along
the hill in the horizon. It was traveling from
the south to north. The light was huge in
comparison to that of an aeroplane. There's no
other light. The light was not blinking, it was
rotating or pulsing. The colour was a kind of
blood red. There were six adults that watched it
here and some people down the road watched it
with binoculars. They said light was hard on the
eyes.
The third time was the same
evening about 3:30 AM. It was rather odd.
I happened to get up for the baby
at 3:00 AM and decided to look outside before
going back to bed. It was a very night. I looked
out the front window which faces South and a
bright star caught my attention. It was in the
southeast not too high. It was fairly big and
flashing red and green. I lined it up with stars
close to it and it never went out of line with
them. I watched it for about half an hour, so I
thought it was first a star.
I was going back to bed when I
saw what appeared to be a satellite come over
the southern horizon, so I stayed to watch it.
It climbed in the sky towards the “star” and
passed under it quite close. After it got just
passed a short distance the “star” started after
it and followed it. Then the “star” passed the
“satellite” and disappeared behind the hills in
the north and the “satellite” stopped in the
northeast sky and remained there for the rest of
the night in accordance with the stars. It was
easy to watch because there were not many stars
in the eastern sky and it was very clear and
both objects were bright.
My neighbor saw them both moving
and on as I got her out there too.
I thought this last one quite
strange because if the two objects were in space
which they must have been to stay with the stars
and they certainly weren’t stars or satellites
they must have been awfully big and quite a few
other things
Yesterday I was reading a book by
Aimé Michelle and there was a somewhat similar
instant mentioned there.
I would like to know if you have
heard of the same thing happening anywhere.
Thank you and I hope you can
understand this, it's not too easy to write it
down and explain it properly.
