SS&S. No. 48. Summer 1967. p. 12.

Harley McKay and his wife, of Silver Creek, reported to police an unexplained moving light in the sky. They saw it twice on Sunday evening, at 7:45 pm, and at 9:50 p.m. The night was fairly clear. He first saw a spherical object like a large star, but brighter, in the southwest. It advanced in an easterly direction, with changes in course, then disappeared. The second time, it seemed to idle then accelerated at a high rate of speed towards the north. It took 4 min. to cross the sky from horizon to horizon and appeared to grow in size and grow brighter as it moved. There have been other reports from nearby areas.
