Cowichan Valley "Bubble"

At least six people in the Cowichan Vally wonder what they saw in the night sky.

It was cloudy when Don Milljour, 26, and his wife and two young children were driving towards Lake Cowichan.

In the far distance they noticed a glowing point.

Mr. Miller, who lives at 961 Canada Avenue and who works at Crofton, said Monday “at first we thought it was a star but then realized it was overcast and we couldn’t see any stars. Then it grew bigger and bigger.”

“It was coming from the west and flew northeast towards Mount Prevost.”

“I had the feeling that I was looking right into a bubble which was lit up. It was a round bubble like you see on a helicopter.”

“There was definitely a structure around this bubble.”

When Mr. Milljour got into his car to drive to his friend’s place, one mile further down the road, the object was still visible.

At the same time the family of Mr. Milljour was watching the strange appearance, Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Rutherford left their house to visit some next-door neighbours.

CLIMBED UP

“It was quite low and then it climbed and climber very slowly moving towards the west until it disappeared in the cloud layer.” Said Mrs. Rutherford.
