On the evening of March 2 (1967), at about 7:45
p.m., a bright light was sighted low in the
southern sky by a teen-aged resident of Ross Road,
Aldergrove. As the girl walked in a northerly
direction, she saw the light was moving too, and
when she reached home, the light was in the
western sky. Borrowing a neighbor's binoculars,
the girl, her mother and the neighbor observed the
light up closer. All three described the object as
being disc-shaped, with alternating glows of
color, mostly blue and red. The disc jumped and
flew in the sky, as if performing. Suddenly it
stopped and remained stationary. After a lapse of
perhaps 15 minutes, the object started moving back
and forth, then it disappeared with no warning at
all. Other persons in the area also reported the
phenomenon.
