B.C. WOMAN SPOTS UFO - AND NOT THE FIRST ONE !!

Victoria, BC - January 16, 1967

CAPIC Reports. Vol. 1, No. 3. (April) 1967, p. 10.
(Canadian Aerial Phenomenon Investigations Committee)

About 6:15 p.m. on the evening of January 16th, 1967, Mrs. M. Larrigan and her husband were driving south on Cadboro Bay Road from Lansdowne when they spotted an oblong object with lights at either and.

Both lights were steady - a red one at one end and a green light at the other. The object was black in colour and Mrs. Larrigan estimates that the object was no more than 1,000 feet directly over the car. Mr. and Mrs. Larrigan, of 2376 Beach Drive, watched the object for about three minutes as it progressed through the sky in a northerly direction. "I put down the window in the car and heard a funny hum, but not like an airplane engine. The object looked like it was cruising around, then took off at high speed to the north."

"I'd never seen anything like it," she said.

This is not the first UFO she has seen. Some months ago she awoke at 3:15 a.m., looked out her window and saw a brilliant white ball travelling through the sky from east to west.

"I know what a satellite looks like, and this wasn't one."

Mrs. Larrigan's sighting is on file at CAPIC Headquarters and is number 10017 for those of you in our affiliations who may want a copy.

The credit for this sighting goes to our West Coast Co-director, Dr. P.M.H. Edwards who, very alertly, notified us of Mrs. Larrigan's experience.
