Dear Coral,
Well it has happened here again, and it was a
year ago this month Hillsdale and Ann Arbor hit
the headlines across the U.S. and Canada as a
hot bed of UFO activity. And now again as last
year at this time Victoria, Vancouver and
Seattle are in the news again as you can see
from the enclosed clippings. We had a very good
sighting in Esquimalt last Friday night, seen by
a lawyer and his family, and an elderly lady
artist by the name of Mrs. Uhtoff, very gifted,
spry for her age (68). You will find her
mentioned in the clippings. I spent a very
enjoyable hour with her last Monday morning and
include a copy of what she saw. Contrary to what
the papers reported Mrs. Uhtoff did not observe
the objects through binoculars as she told me
she was wearing tri-focal glasses. The Airforce
spotter she mentions was myself, a misquote I am
sure, due to poor reporting.
The newspapers have been calling me a couple of
times each day since Monday. Also other people
who have seen things in the past, being friends
of the people Max and I have interviewed lately.
I made an appointment just a few minutes ago to
meet a Mrs. Butler on Monday next to see a
report of a sighting she made of a UFO from the
CPR train while travelling through the Rockies
last June. She informs me she copied down what
she saw immediately. It should be a good one.
Just now a phone call from Max. He just this
minute received a phone call from a Mrs. Bales,
1840 Hollywood Crescent (which is right on the
water looking south towards Port
Angeles.)

PM.
A large elongated oval like white
gold colored object was seen surrounded by a
light turquoise halo. The moon was to the east
of the object, stars were visible and wind
light. The object hovered between Trial Island
(one quarter mile from shore) and Hollywood
Crescent. Nothing as high as stars, sky brightly
starlit. Cars passed along the road continually.
At one time a large cloud bank passed between
the object and shore without obliterating the
glow. Object observed for 20 min. Suddenly
lifted vertically in a twinkling of an eye a
distance of five times its width, or better it's
thickness, then just as suddenly vanished. Size
was 18" at arm’s length.
Someone in the passing cars must
have witnessed this also, but I guess many
people are still afraid to come forward for fear
of ridicule.
Yours sincerely,
P. M. H. Edwards
