Bill Shoebotham, at Horseshoe
Bay, 15 miles NW of Vancouver, went out at
10:30 pm – looking southwest observed what at
first seemed to be an unusually bright star.
He immediately realized that it was
approaching. It passed very slowly to the
north of his viewpoint, travelling northeast
towards West Vancouver – as it passed it no
longer appeared round but cigar-shaped,
approximately the size of half a lead pencil
held at arm’s length. The outline of the craft
was dark, but showed “projections of light”
above and below. Duration of sighting was
nearly half an hour as the craft moved very
slowly.
