ON THE LOCAL SCENE:-

On September 14th, Mr. Allan Campbell, while relaxing at home during the afternoon, received a telepathic communication. This took the form, first, of the appearance of a ticker tape with dots on it passing in front of his eyes, and, next, a voice said to him, “Be at the airport tonight at eleven o’clock.”

After thinking this over, he told his wife about it, and that night at ten-thirty they set out for the airport, situated about five miles south of town. They drove first to the airport proper, but Allan received the distinct impression that this was the wrong place, so they went back about half a mile on the highway and drove east on the Giscomo Road about half a mile. They parked alongside this road facing the airport to the west of them.

By this time it was eleven o’clock, and as Allan stepped out of the car onto the side of the road he saw to the southwest a brilliant white light, and he called to his wife, “Get out, this is what we came to see!” She got out and they both watched this white light come up from the southwest. It became quite large and finally stopped and hovered over the airport at a fairly low altitude. As they watched, another light appeared from the southeast. This was a smaller light with an orange glow and it approached the other light rapidly, passed by it and hovered also, although it was much higher in the sky than the first object.

The occasional car began to go by, and as they did so Mr. and Mrs. Campbell would get back into their car and wait until they had passed. However, the two lights did not go away, but remained motionless. At length, Allan decided that perhaps he should go back through town and get onto another road where traffic would be at an absolute minimum. They thereupon drove back, checking every once in a while to see that the two lights remained where they were. However, after they had arrived in town they checked once more and the lights were gone. They did not reappear again.
