Residents of Hope are talking
flying saucers today after a mysterious
moving light “that hummed” was seen in the
cloudy sky.
Wick Burnett, machine shop
operator, told the Vancouver Sun the
mysterious illuminated object was “quite a
size”, moved up and down the sky and
appeared at the same time to revolve.
The object was clearly
visible for about 10 minutes around 11 pm
Sunday. (This was on Sept. 21st - Editor.)
Mr. Burnett said the light
finally disappeared. He said he could not
state positively that there was a sound
accompanying the light but others told him
they heard a distinct hum.
“It was definitely not an
aircraft.” Said Mr. Burnett.
