Dear Sir;
That was an interesting
article I read:- by Major Donald E. Keyhoe.
(must have enclosed a clipping).
It was in the summer of
1949, the month of June, when I observed a
UFO. It was the latter part of the month, just
two miles East of Vernon, B.C. Around
midnight, when standing outside, I observed
this object. It was similar to a moving star,
the light intensity perhaps somewhat brighter,
and it was travelling South at the speed I
would say of 1/10 of that of a meteorite, at
an altitude of perhaps 10 to 15 thousand feet.
It was not an aircraft with its landing lights
on, since at that height it would seem
ridiculous, and even if it had been, I would
have been able to detect two beams slowly
fading as it passed. No, this was a similar
appearance as the USA communication satellite,
the large sphere, as is in orbit now. In fact
I have seen several appearances; the last one
on the 27th of March, 1966 travelling in a
W.S.E. direction, at 8PM. Another in April,
1965, the latter from Armstrong, B.C.
travelling in the same direction, but more
West. It was about 11 PM or so, and I called
my parents outside to see it.
In this same week, April
'65, as I drove South, about to enter Enderby,
B.C. (this is a little hard to make out -
could be Enderly), a meteorite fell nearby;
its sudden appearance and hellish brightness
caused me to stop and step out of the car.
This merely said so that
you may understand that I don't call a high
flying mosquito a descending superman.
