The Location in more detail (for location coordinates "click here")

On September 9, 2000, the author obtained a description of the incident location from the witness. Kevin mentioned that the incident took place a few miles west of a trailer where he spent the night. When he was observing the UFO, it was directly down the road (east); in the background was a cone shaped mountain across the valley. When he walked towards the sound (west) he walked 20 to 30 yards up a gentle incline. When he reached the top, the road curved gently to the left, and the beings were on the left side of the road.

Armed with this description, the author traveled to this stretch of the North Canol Road on September 12, 2000. Five locations along a 4 km stretch of road were potential candidates matching to various degrees Kevin's description. Photographs of all 5 locations were sent to Kevin. The ones matching the incident location are shown on this page. The location and directions of these photographs are shown on the map below.

The photographs below are accompanied with notes written by Kevin describing the relevant features of the incident. Kevin recalls that the brush along the road was much shorter in 1987 than when these pictures were taken in 2000. This is important, as in 1987 he would have had a much clearer view while observing the UFO across the valley. Each photograph number corresponds to the labels on the map above.  The distance noted in the photos was measured south-westbound from a bridge over the South MacMillan River just north of the map area.

Once these photographs were verified by Kevin as matching the location of the incident, they were used as a backdrop for the artwork that describes Kevin's Account.
