UFO SIGHTING REPORTS FROM 2024

Woke up for work, was letting my dog out in the back yard which faces west, instantly noticed 2 very bright "planets" close together to the northwest. Watched them for 30 seconds or so, then one of the objects dimmed and "went out". 5 seconds later the other object did the same thing. I'm a bit of a space and aircraft geek and this was something I've never seen before. Also the way they dimmed out was weird. You could almost still see the outline of the object for a second, like seeing a tracer some a glowstick. I woke up this morning and rushed down to look at the same time but there was nothing. The morning of this sighting was extremely clear, not a cloud in the sky, with all the other stars out.

5-Mar-2024, Victoria, BC: (2-3 am)

On the night of March 5th 2024 at approximately 2:00 am I went outside onto my deck for a smoke like I usually would and to my surprise I had witnessed a Disk Shaped, Silver In Colour Object (with red & green flickering lights on the bottom of it and 2 yellow square shaped lights on the back) fly directly over my house so I quickly ran inside and grabbed my binoculars and as I looked through them with curiosity and shock it was in fact a ufo I highly believe! It also would tend to make diagonal movements in the sky and also never made any noise while moving.

It was amazing to witness because back in 2014 I saw a similar ufo or object while I was fishing up in Boston Bar, B.C (on the Fraser River) I do believe that we as humans aren’t the only race out there and I am now fascinated by my experiences and also want to investigate into them further. I have attached 2 drawing’s of the UFO’s shortly after both experiences.

11-May-2024, Mission, BC: (10:32pm)

I was looking for a place to report a sighting that is local. I live in Mission BC and on Saturday May 11th at approximately 10:32 pm I was looking to see if there was any northern lights that evening in the sky and I witnessed a massive V-shaped object in the sky heading SW to NE. It appeared very high, extremely fast, smooth traveling and dead silent It had 8-10 lights that looked similar to our stars so it was not too bright. The lights were only on the two straight V edges from what I could tell. The sighting only lasted roughly 3 seconds so I had no time to bring my phone out unfortunately!

A good judge of the size of the object would be to stretch your arm out and hold up a tennis ball. I am very healthy with good eyesight. I have never seen anything like this ever before and this shocked me, from the speed, size and silence of this object there is no way it could from this earth. Everything that is man-made up in the sky is slow compared to this.

Hopefully there are other sightings of this event and I'm not the only one. This really bothers me and I needed to tell somebody besides my family.

As for my field of view that evening I stretch out my arms with a measuring tape in each hand and it was 3 feet field of view I am 6 feet tall. It looked very high my first thought, like skimming the top of the atmosphere or edge of space height only because the lights were lit up similar to the stars, but yes of course it could be lower at a jet's height with the lights dimmed down. The lights of a Commercial jet can be quite bright I find and I wasn't even close to that brightness. I know something that high must be enormous in size and hard to fathom but it is possible for sure for it to be lower, stealthy and silent. I had excellent timing on viewing this, I was concentrating directly in this area looking for any northern lights but It was nothing like Friday of course. 

I have been researching like crazy looking to see other similar uap's out there, I found one picture that looks very similar to what I saw that night and the only thing different is the lights in the picture look too bright. 

You're welcome to ask any other questions it is still very fresh in my mind I just wish my wife did not go in the house 30 seconds before this happened, it would have been nice to have another witness.

There was a solar storm that weekend so I was observing the night sky for the second evening. I was watching for satellites or space debris, trying to decide which of the objects traversing the sky would be debris. Then into my view I observed something blocking the stars out as it was moving at a similar pace as the satellites. This object was moving from south to north, was extremely large as compared with the satellites or debris, and appeared to have right angles like a triangle. From my point of view as it traveled above me, it seemed like a silhouette of a triangle high up in the atmosphere. I was able to follow it with the binoculars for only about 15 seconds until it was out of my sight.

22-May-2024, Little Fort, BC: (about 10:00 pm)

Dear UFO Society of BC,

I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to share some footage I captured on May 22nd at around 10 p.m. While loading our car for a camping trip, I noticed something unusual flying in the sky. The object had multicolored lights, and I managed to record some videos of it. From the recorded videos, I slowed it down to check out the colour and shape which is almost square-like with rotating lights. As you can see in the video, it is almost a full moon night.

I'm not entirely sure what we witnessed, but the footage is alright, and I believe it might be of interest to your team. I would love to have your input on what you might think it is. I posted on Facebook a while back and nobody really had an answer. I learned about your society not long ago and it got me thinking I should be sharing this.

Summary: 2 people in Vancouver watched star-like objects moving in formation from East to West. They saw 3 separate formations over a 30-40 minute period.

Silent.

Looked like stars.
Saw a satellite around the same time but light seemed a different quality.
Some of them moved around within the formation.
They travelled E to W.

There was another light after the second formation went by that flashed around the sky for approximately 15 seconds.

20-Aug-2024, Coquitlam, BC: (9:10 pm)

Good evening,

I was wondering if anyone else has reported a strange flashing light over Coquitlam that lasted for more than 10 minutes starting around 9:10 p.m. I'm near Lougheed and saw it North towards Burquitlam. It started with a blue light that then turned white.

It definitely was not a plane, it hovered, moved too fluidly, and made no sound.

Just curious if anyone else saw it, maybe even have an explanation (could it have been a drone?)

30-Aug-2024. Steveston, BC: (about 8:45 - 9:00 pm)

My husband saw this come out of the river/ocean in Steveston BC & I caught a bit of it on camera! It was blinking in & out & then it was gone! No boats were on water at the time and it was roughly round 8:45 - 9:00 pm on Aug 30,2024!

Also when it came out of the water hubby said it split into two orbs, then attached together.

It was on Aug 30,2024, at approximately 8.45pm-9pm in Steveston, BC, at Garry Point near concession  stand  facing towards ocean !

The objects were all over the place but hubby saw it go straight up heading east and spit into 2!

They were really fast and stopped & sat there then blinked (different colors) and jumped in & out! I can't tell how fast! The sighting felt like forever to us, but I would say at least 5-10 minutes!

The sighting ended when it stopped blinking and we could not find it anymore in the sky!

It was what looked to be a round object and was a solid light green color & then it moved & started blinking different colors!

I am not sure of the exact altitude as to me it looked like 100 frrt or higher and it moved quick!

No sound except  crickets

5-Sep-2024, Chilliwack, BC: (about 10:00 pm)

My daughter (33) burst into my place telling me to come outside. With both of us looking up into the sky, she said "ok, look at the big Dipper and to the left of the first star in the handle, and tell me what you see"... So I waited; less than 2 minutes. And then, all of a sudden, there I saw a blue light (the same size as the stars) appeared at the height a plane would fly, heading East. (It was green in my binoculars) It was silent, no flash, and going quite quickly. As it went over us, it dimmed and then disappeared... But that wasn't it!

Numerous others (25+) seemed to appear and disappear exactly the same as the first, some one after the other with about 2 minutes in between or what seemed only 40 seconds after the one before it appeared.

My daughter got out her phone and looked at an app she has, that shows the night sky including: the stars, planes and satellites going by ...and these were not labeled. We went out again last night, and absolutely nothing 🤔!!!

We'll keep our eyes on the evening sky as we do on most clear nights. Maybe we'll see them again and remember to hit record on our phones. If we see them again and manage to capture them on video, I'll update this report.

Any explanation or other witnesses would be appreciated.

Thank you for your detailed sighting report. What you are describing sounds like it was probably a "train" of SpaceX Starlink satellites. There was a launch of these satellites on September 5 and numerous sighting reports across Canada.

Depending on how recently the satellites launched, the lights can look closer or further apart.

Yea, no.. this was most definitely not Starlink. I've seen Starlink before and this was not it. Starlink is a string of lights, these were one till it was gone, then another would appear and then disappear in the same spot the first one disappeared. Sometimes the next one wouldn't come for 2 minutes, or it would be only 40 seconds after the first disappeared.

One would come out of what would be the first star in the big Dipper constellation. That one would travel east over our heads and as it passed, it faded till it disappeared.

As I stated before, my daughter pulled out her star app that identifies everything in real time depending on where she has it pointed. We saw the starlinks on there, labeled as such. These had nothing.

Without having seen the lights, we certainly cannot say for sure what they could have been. I have witnessed similar to what you are describing, and this is often a train of SpaceX satellites that have spread out over a greater distance, as they do within the days and weeks after they launch. The lights appearing in the same part of the sky and travelling in the same direction and at similar speeds would tend to indicate a series of satellites catching the sunlight in the same place. It is interesting, though, that you mentioned the differing times in between lights.

I spotted this while walking my dog in Kamloops on November 16, 2024 at 5:20 pm. I did not notice any audible sound and it hovered for at least 3 minutes. I have another minute or so of footage that shows how it was rotating but it’s a little shaky. Not sure if it’s significant or if there’s a simple explanation but would appreciate any insight.

The light seems to be either above the clouds or reflected by the clouds. Can you think of anything in that area that might have been beaming lights up into the sky? Search lights or anything like that?

Am I right in thinking that this appears to be 3 or 4 lights in a triangular shape?

Anyone see anything weird last Saturday morning out on Vancouver Island area? I swore I saw four lights, white over Royal Roads University area. Building was shaking, and then past. Part of me wants to believe I cracked and another part is sure it happened

Hello!

I saw a UAP on Dec 10th 2024 over Cloverdale in Surrey, BC. The UAP first appeared as a solid Orange light, travelling from west to east near 64th Ave and 176th street. It was moving faster than a plane appears to move, and had no running lights. It was completely silent. As I watched and filmed the light, it appeared to split and become 2 smaller white lights. As I continued watching, it merged again (or one light went out) and began flashing red on & off - about 1 second on, 1 second off. It was very unlike typical airplane lights.

I have no idea if I saw a drone, satellite, or something else.

• Date - 10th December 2024
• Time - 06:02 pm
• Location - in the sky above 64th Ave in Surrey's Cloverdale neighborhood, observed at the 176 street intersection.
• Direction Facing - I was facing south when shooting video
• Direction Object(s) moving - object moved from west to east
• Speed of Object(s) - difficult for me to guess, but it appeared to move more quickly than a typical passenger plane or light aircraft
• Duration of Sighting - about 30 - 45 seconds
• How the Sighting Ended - the object disappeared from view
• Number of object(s) - one single light that appeared to split and become 2 lights briefly, then it was back to a single light.
• Description of Object(s) - initially a glowing orange light, solid not flashing. The light appeared white when the object 'split'. It later turned red and began to flash slowly on & off.
• Apparent altitude of Object(s) - difficult to estimate, but close to the altitude light aircraft fly out in the area. Not as high as commercial aircraft.
• Sounds (if any) - no sound at all
• Any other details? - after watching the object & recording a short video, I became apathetic toward the experience. I felt I'd rather ignore it than think about it - this is unusual for me as it's normally something that would arouse intense curiosity in me, but I found myself wanting to forget about it.
