Party Returning From Dance Sees Searchlight at 5 a.m.

Armstrong, B. C., Feb. 1. – On Saturday morning, January 30, at 5 a. m., a party of people returning home from a dance held on the previous evening in the Glenemma Hall, saw distinctly in the southern sky - the searchlight of an aeroplane or airship.

The party stood near Mr. Petrie's home and watched the same for a number of minutes. The searchlight reflector were clearly seen in many positions, and it seemed sometimes to be pointing downward and sometimes to either side. When last seen the aeroplane was going in a southern direction.
