UFO ‘invasion’ continues

Extra-terrestrial tourists appeared to be continuing their examination of southern Vancouver Island Tuesday, with three reported sightings of UFOs.

An Oak Bay resident reported spotting a strange cylindrical object Tuesday afternoon with smoke pouring from two holes making its way slowly across the sky toward downtown Victoria. She was unable to identify it through a pair of binoculars, but said "no way was it a flying saucer."

At 8:41 p.m. Victoria city police received a call of a UFO over the city, but their investigation failed to find anything.

Shortly after 9 p.m. a resident of the John Anderson Memorial Home in Central Saanich said she spotted a flying saucer with flashing lights ascend into the sky from a field some distance away. The saucer rose to meet another UFO, this one with an orange-yellow glow to it, which was travelling from Gordon Head toward Pat Bay, the observer said.
