"Light Being" at Whytecliff Park
(from Spring 1998 issue of UFO*BC Quarterly)

I, Gavin McLeod, happened to be at home one day when I heard a knock on the door. It was the postman. I had to sign for the receipt of a letter. After I signed the letter he asked me nervously if I was involved with UFO research. I presume he noticed the envelopes addressed to UFO*BC coming to my door. I assured him that I was. He then asked me if I had heard any reports from Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver. I replied that I hadn't unless he had one for me. He said that he did, but it was very weird. I assured him that I had probably heard stories that were far weirder. This is his story.

"Light Being "drawing by Gavin McLeodNarrative: In the spring of 1968, about 1 am, the postal worker and his girl friend (now ex) were by his car waiting for a third party to arrive. His girlfriend observed a bright white light moving among the trees. She asked her friend if he saw it. When he turned to look he did not see anything unusual. After talking for a few more minutes she saw the white light again. This time her boyfriend also saw it. They watched the light move to the edge of the woods. At this point they saw a "thing" come out of the woods. When I asked him to described this "thing" he said it looked like a small humanoid except that it was glowing brightly like a fluorescent light. He did not see any details such as facial features and clothing. It appeared to be made of bright light. The creature moved about very quickly and then went back into the woods. The couple could see the bright light moving away among the trees. The postal worker did not want his name used and has only told three people since the incident in 1968.

The description reminds me of the light beings encountered by Betty Andreasson Luca as detailed in Raymond E. Fowler’s books: (The Andreasson Affair, The Andreasson Affair- Phase Two, The Watchers, The Watchers II, and The Andreasson Legacy – all these books are highly recommended).
